UBC Chemo

UBC Chemo

An extremely rare and legendary strain with an intriguing origin story, UBC Chemo is a pure indica that was allegedly developed by the famed Canadian environmental activist and scientist, David Suzuki, at the University of British Columbia in the 60s and 70s. Bred for cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy, this strain is renowned for its plethora of powerful medical effects, such as relief from physical and mental ailments, as well as providing a sense of euphoria to help combat stress, anxiety, and depression. UBC Chemo is a clone-only plant, and is currently grown by professional breeders at BC Bud Depot, Federation Seeds, and Jordan of the Islands.

Appearance & Aroma

UBC Chemo is an incredibly rare strain, and its standout appearance is often said to resemble a bonsai tree. Its tight, round nugs may appear hard, and they are covered in large speckles of dark purples, with varying shades of light to dark greens and plenty of frosty white trichomes. This strain has an earthy, piney aroma with hints of citrus and herbs, perfect for those who enjoy a nice, fresh scent.

UBC Chemo is an incredibly potent strain, and has a tendency to creep up on you before taking on its full strength. It offers relief from physical and mental ailments, as well as intense feelings of happiness and euphoria. It is incredibly sedative, and is great for those suffering from arthritis, nausea, insomnia, and chronic pain. It may also induce the munchies, making it a great strain for those with a lack of appetite.

THC Content

UBC Chemo has an average THC potency of 21%, but can reach upwards of 29%. Its genetic lineage remains a mystery, with no speculation or consensus of parental strains.
